Neu, neu, neu sind alle meine Bücher

Nachdem ich sowohl von "Love Letters to the Dead", als auch von "P.S. I Still Love You" absolut enttäuscht wurde, befand ich mich in einem kleinen, deprimierenden Lesetief - nur wegen dieser zwei blöde Büchern! - und hatte das Gefühl immer nur das Gleiche zu lesen. (Was eigentlich nicht direkt stimmt, das Gefühl wurde ich deswegen aber auch nicht los. :/ )

Deshalb habe ich das einzig richtige in dieser Situation getan. Nämlich neue Bücher gekauft! Und zwar nicht irgendwelche Bücher, sondern solche, deren Inhaltsangabe eine außergewöhnliche Geschichte versprechen und meinen Geschmack - hoffentlich - ziemlich treffen sollten.

Moribito habe ich zwar noch nicht gelesen, dafür allerdings durchgeblättert und die Innengestaltung ist so, so hübsch! Bestimmte eines der schönsten Bücher in meinem Regal. Die Übersetzung der Reihe wurde leider nach Band 2 eingestellt, wobei es glaube ich 12 Bände im Original gibt. 

Tja, blöd gelaufen. Aber lesen will ich es trotzdem, weil es sich so toll anhört. Mein Problem, wenn die Reihe gut ist und ich nach Band 2 heulend in der Ecke sitze, weil ich nicht weiterlesen kann. Muss ich eben Japanisch lernen!

Nein, ich hab mir die Bücher nicht nach Cover ausgesucht. Zugeben muss ich aber, dass ich das Cover von Eyes Like Stars tatsächlich ziemlich schön finde. 

Von den neuen Büchern, befand sich das Buch schon am längsten auf meiner Wunschliste. Eigentlich gehört es von allen Wunschlisten-Büchern zu denen, die dort schon ewig darauf warten gekauft zu werden. Ich finde es toll, dass das Theater und Personen aus Shakespeares Werken so eine große Rolle spielen. Die Feen aus A Midsummer Night's Dream als Sidekicks? Ja, bitte!

Seht ihr, ich habe die Bücher nicht nach Cover gewählt. Das sollte wohl der Beweis sein. Irgendwie ist diese...Zusammenstellung allerdings einnehmend. Ich muss die ganze Zeit drauf starren...

Narnia hat mir Lust auf weitere Klassiker der Fantasyliteratur gemacht und so haben mich ausführliche Goodreads-Recherchen auf Lud-in-the-Mist stoßen lassen. Aus Neugier habe ich bereits ein bisschen reingelesen und der Protagonist erinnert mich an Bilbo Beutlin, nur in sehr paranoidem Format.

Als ich klein war hatte ich ein Buch, das ich total geliebt habe. Es heißt Kinder aus aller Welt - Unsere Lieblingsgeschichten und enthält - wie der Titel schon sagt - Geschichten aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt. Und darin stand die Geschichte über eine Sandhexe, die Kinder entführte. Die Geschichte spielte übrigens in Afrika. Nun handelt Akata Witch nicht von bösen Sandhexen, aber als ich das letzte Mal durch das Buch blätterte, habe ich mir in den Kopf gesetzt ein Fantasybuch mit afrikanischem Setting zu lesen. Ich wollte einfach mal wieder ein Buch lesen, das weder in Nordamerika noch in England spielt.

Half the World tanzt etwas aus der Reihe, da es genaugenommen nicht mein Neuzugang, sondern der meiner Mutter ist.

Von Joe Abercrombie wollte ich eigentlich nie was lesen. Nicht, weil ich persönlichen Groll gegen ihn hegte oder ähnliches. Nein, seine Bücher reizten mich einfach nicht. Tja, und als meine Mama sich dann Band 1 der Shattered Sea - Reihe kaufte, las ich es sogar noch vor ihr, wurde völlig von der Geschichte gefesselt und freue mich endlich weiterlesen zu können. Meine Mutter hat Half a King zwar noch immer nicht gelesen, dennoch den 2. Band gekauft, weil mir der 1. so gefiel. Merci beaucoup, maman!
